Are Weeks Worth of Dead Skin Cells and Debris Making Your Complexion Look Dull?
Dermaplaning – Gentle Skin Exfoliation
Dermaplaning is a highly-effective hands-on approach to peach fuzz removal. The non-invasive procedure clears up to 3-weeks worth of dead skin cells and other debris for an instantly brighter, smoother complexion. Through this manual exfoliation method, we’re able to pay special attention to your specific concerns while also providing total facial rejuvenation.
Am I a Good Candidate for Dermaplaning?
You may be a good candidate for dermaplaning procedures if you have unwanted vellus hairs (peach fuzz) on the face. Dermaplaning is also suitable for patients with dull complexion due to clogged pores. The procedure can be used on all skin types and is especially beneficial for women who are pregnant or nursing and want a gentle exfoliation without chemicals.
Dermaplaning is not for everyone. Patients with active acne or men with heavy facial hair are not candidates for the procedure. Your skincare specialist will assess your candidacy for dermaplaning at the time of your initial consultation.

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation treatment that typically takes about 30-45 minutes. The procedure is widely thought to be a gentle, pain-free experience. Dermaplaning can be done on its own or used to prepare the skin for other procedures. Many patients opt for dermaplaning before laser treatments, chemical peels, or deep cleansing facials for enhanced results.
Is There Any Downtime?
While there is no real downtime associated with dermaplaning, you will need to take some small precautions as your skin heals. Immediately following treatment, your skin may be pink and extra sensitive to sun exposure. You should use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30+ and avoid exfoliating the treatment area for up to 2-days. Otherwise, you are free to get back to most normal activities directly following your treatment.
